Louis first joined Garfinkle Biderman as an articling student back in June 1980. Over the years, he has honed his skills in many different areas of corporate and commercial law including corporate organization and reorganizations, estate freezes, business acquisitions and dispositions (including share purchase and sale transactions, asset purchase and sale transactions, and the acquisition and disposition of assets of insolvent entities in receivership or bankruptcy), personal property security transactions and the negotiation and implementation of loan agreements, shareholders’ agreements, partnership agreements and joint venture agreements.
Approach
Louis brings experience and acumen to the practice of corporate and commercial law, real estate law and estate planning. His wills and estates practice focuses on tax efficiencies and probate minimization strategies.
